Description
June is the month when elegant Foxgloves are at their best. The Foxglove is known in the Celtic world as Fairy Bells. The prefix ‘fox‘ probably derived from “folks”, who were the fairies. ‘Glove‘ may have come from the Anglo-Saxon gliew, which was the name for a musical instrument consisting of many small bells. So, the two together make it ‘Fairy Bells’.
